Anand Vidya Mandir was established in 1979-80 in Mohalla Gopalgarh, near the Church, Bharatpur. It was established by Dr. Onkaranand and Smt. Usha Anand. Dr. Onkaranand hailed from Moroli Kalan near Bharatpur. His primary education was in a Govt. school and later studied at Banaras Hindu University, Banaras, where he did triple M.A. and was a Gold Medalist and Topper of the university. After obtaining a PH.d from Banaras Hindu University, Banaras, he served as a professor for 15 years at Gurukul Kangri University, Haridwar. Smt. Usha Anand, wife of Dr. Onkaranand, was educated in Rajasthan. Primary schooling was at SBK Girl’s School, and did her graduation and post-graduation from Rajasthan University. She did her B.Ed from Kota Open University. She holds the post of the Principal of the school and is responsible for the upliftment of the school.

Dr. Onkaranand established this school in 1979-80 and dedicated his life from inception and since primary classes, with only 10 students. In 1979-80, it got Senior Secondary status. By 1989-90 secondary level classs were in full swing and they secured 100 % results. It was ranked among the top 50 schools by the Board of Secondary Education, Ajmer maintaining 100 % results. It also made the district proud, by being ranked among the best 50 schools in Rajasthan.
In 2001- 2002, it was recognized at Senior Secondary level with all subjects in Science and Arts, being offered. The establishment recognizes the need of the best of the science laboratories, hence sanctions upto Rs 1 Lac every year to upgrade its laboratories. Indeed, the laboratories are the best in the district and benefit the students. Teachers with 15-20 years’ experience impart training to the students. A grade students are given special attention in coaching so that they score maximum and set a benchmark.
